Outside Sales Engineer Div. ST

Location: North of Italy

The Kistler Group is a Swiss high-tech company and the global market leader in dynamic measurement technology.

The 'Outside Sales Engineer' for the Div. ST is responsible for managing existing accounts and looking for new potential customers / departments within the Kistler target market sectors that could benefit from Kistler products or services in his allocated territory.

He is responsible for the growth of the allocated market sector (T&M, R&T, BIO, HSD) for the KPIs like booking, billing, margin, number of customers, number of orders and will report to the Sales Specialist ST who is located in Italy. He is required to plan the sales actions in advance and report them on a weekly visit plan. Reports and updates about visits, actions, opportunities and quotations are required to be punctually reported into the CRM to provide the management a clear view of the market development progress in the allocated territory.

He/She is specialist for the products and services of all the following SBF: T&M, R&T, BIO, HSD. With his / her activity he/she supports the Kistler South Europe organization in order to achieve profitable sales and growth targets in the assigned Strategic Business Fields and related products. For this purpose he might be required for occasional travels in the South Europe Area for specific sales actions.

Main Tasks:

  • Increase the number of customers / departments, incoming orders, bookings, billing according to the fixed targets for the allocated market sector.
  • Establishing new customers and maintaining existing relationships with customers through regular communication via e-mail/phone/fax as well as by periodical visits.
  • Understand customer requirements and persuade him/her that the proposed product or service will best satisfy their needs.
  • Provide quotations in the shortest time possible.
  • Negotiate and close the sales by agreeing on the t&c with his/her direct superior approval.
  • Prepare and analyze costs of product sales.
  • Support the marketing activities by attending/organizing trade shows, conference, seminars and other events.
  • Have the competence to provide BASIC technical assistance to customers if and when required.
  • Give support to achieve monthly and annual sales revenue targets by analysing costs.
  • Periodical reporting for projects and forecast.
  • Weekly visits plan.

Requirements Profile:

  • Willingness to continuously develop the area in term of number of contacts, orders, quotations.
  • Committed to improve its own performances through learning applications, new products, features, skills.
  • Oriented to develop the business of the area also providing new ideas and ways to implement them with an suitable strategy, together with the management.
  • Promptly share with the management and the colleagues about news about the competition.
  • Constantly improve and develop the spoken and written English. German is a plus.
  • Develop and improve the knowledge not only on the Kistler sensors and systems but also the applications in order to provide a more complete service and consultancy to the customers.
  • Strong willingness to travel and commitment to develop new key customers and increase the sales turnover in the allocated territory.
  • Support the events and the strategies of the management in order to help the Sales Center on the achievement of the global results also out of the sales engineer specific area.
  • Home office work required , located into the area.
  • B class driving licence with a clean record.
