Sales & Business Development - Traffic Solutions

Purpose of the Position

As a Sales and Business Developer for Traffic Solutions, you will be responsible for the sales performance and business development of the Business Unit Traffic Solutions (BU TS) in North America (In defined territory in West of North America). You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers, negotiating contracts, and developing sales strategies to increase revenue and market share.

 

Main Tasks 

  • Responsible for meeting sales targets and ensure the growth of the BU TS in the defined territory.
  • Manages, Develops, and nurtures business relationships with end users (State Dept. Of Transportation, …), partners, integrators, research institutes and other authorities for the different applications of the BU TS. 
  • Proactively develop and secure new customers. Develop new projects and partnerships.
  • Maintain the relationship with existing accounts and grow business together.
  • Act along the sales process provides technical quotes and commercial proposals. Performs proactive follow up and closes orders.
  • Perform competitive analysis and help develop sales and marketing strategies for the specific market sector. Monitor market trends & needs and ensure feedback to the team.
  • Manage territory through company CRM system for accurate monitoring and reporting of progress.
  • Implement measures according to the strategy and as defined in annual target agreement and objectives.
  • Supports the execution of the marketing promotional plan, by participating to trade shows, seminars, and other special activities.
  • Work with marketing and team members to develop new content to promote Kistler Traffic Solutions and our products to customers, partners, and internally.

 

 Requirements Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in B2G (or B2B) sales
  • Experienced in sales of technological products, ideally in Intelligent Transportation Systems
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Strong communication skills
  • Networker, able to build relationships
  • Strong organizational skills and systematic approach 
  • Physical requirements: ability to lift -50 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to travel (>50%) in US and CA and occasional international travel is required
