Service / Calibration Engineer

Main Tasks:

The Service Engineer is responsible for calibration and service activities within the UK Tech Office. Reporting to the Technical Service Manager, the service/calibration engineer will be involved in the following service activities:

  • Calibration, diagnosis & repair of sensors and instrumentation
  • Fabrication and repair of cables and bespoke assemblies
  • Installation & Commissioning of systems at customer premises
  • Providing technical assistance and product training (both pre-and post-sales) to customer and sales engineers
  • Preparation of calibration/repair cost estimates
  • Giving phone/remote/on-site support for the customers and Sales Engineers

Requirements Profile:

  • HNC, City & Guilds or other relevant qualification
  • Good technical knowledge. Knowledge in measuring instrumentation and sensor technology beneficial
  • Excellent communications skills to represent Kistler
  • Self-motivated, self-driven and disciplined
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Other languages beneficial
  • Good ability to use all Microsoft Office products
  • Willing to travel (up to 50%) when required
