Inside Sales

Inside Sales Engineer or Representative (ISR) at KNL, is a part of a sales team which is responsible for the sales of Kistler products, solutions and services into the Benelux market. ISR is directly engaged in building relationships with existing and new customers, promoting the benefits of Kistler’s porfolios, hunting for sales opportunities, and expanding our marketshare. At the office at a customers front desk, ISR makes quotations, checks incoming orders for technical consistency and works out customer requests together with the Sales Engineers or the product specialists across Europe. In addition handles customer repairs and warranty claims with the help of our group’s service departments.

ISR takes initiatives and provides a proactive approach to raise the results and enlarge the sales quality. In addition ISR is responsible for updating customers data base. As a valued team member, ISR gives insights and opinions, making a real contribution to the business.

As an additional task:

Reporting to company and office management based in France and on its behalf, ISR supervises administration of the local office, makes sure that the local office is maintained in good professional conditions and that the staff is working in compliance with legal and company standard.

1. Main Tasks

  • Sales (95% of the activity)
    • Partiticipate and take initiative to any activities for prospecting new customers and for developing existing ones
    • Participate and provide support to marketing activities like, digital communication, exhibitions, trade associations …etc.
    • Ensure a commercial and service front desk to any demands from Benelux, over phone or thanks to any digital media (email, web ..) .
    • By a proactive dialogue with contacts, identify needs and find out potential. Filter out what can be the best way of proceededing customer requests, internally, by outside sales engineers (OSR) visits or by any other function in the company. Handover activities when necessary, make sure that it’s correctly followed up 
    • Maintain and update customer data bases thanks to a real time and a proactive usage of our CRM system
    • Promote Kistler’s products, solutions and services thanks to a persuasive advises and a good technical knowledge.
    • Make quotations alone or on the behalf of OSR’s 
    • Check incoming orders for technical, delivery dates and price consistency
    • Handle customer repairs and warranty claims with the help of Kistler group’s departements and team in France 
  • Office Administration (5% of the activity) (additional if actual shown skills)
    • Upon request of Office Manager based in France, provide any informations related to country usages and standard
    • Help Office manager in admin procedures, may be local langage interface
    • Report and make sure that the office and premises are fully maintained
    • Report and make sure that local people presence and vacancies are harmonized
    • Stay attentive and report any disciplinary issues
  • Technical
    • Maintain a good technical knowledge in all Kistler products thanks to provided trainings and support.
    • Manage and maintain together with OSR local demo and test materials

2. Competencies

  • Mandatory communicational skills in English and Dutch (& Flamish)  languages (behavior, verbal and written)
  • Understanding international cultures, good understanding of French is an advantage
  • Able to build strong relationship with the customers‘ technical departments as well as purshasing and R&D teams
  • Good professional knowhow in IT (MS office suite, ERP, CRM …etc)
  • Good technical skills in any domains and good sciences understanding
  • Sales skills and customer focused, service minded attitude
  • Accurate, well organized, reliable, effective personality
  • Basis of business administration understanding
  • Team player, proactive
  • Resilient and automus 

3. Requirements Profile

  • Higher education in a technical (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics) area, or mid level with higher level of thinking and experience.
  • Several years of relevant working experience is an advantage (quotations, work in a technical B2B environment, technical order handling, services …)

4. Other

  • Position is located at Eemnes office. Home office work is possible but should be only exceptional for few occasions and submitted case by case to upper level agreement
  • Candidate lives close to the office
  • Position may naturally evoluate to OSR position after few years on board. If proved skills Kistler group may propose various jobs in other locations.
