Service Project Engineer

Kistler Instrument Corporation is looking for an innovative Project Engineer for our North American Engineering Services team in Novi, MI! In this position you will be responsible for handling all technical customizing projects. You will schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all the technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion.

 

Your key responsibilities
Specifically, in this role you will:
•    Collaborate with Sales department to ensure the project meets the technical, price and delivery requirements. 
•    Identifies new application opportunities and unique market requirements, consults with the Sales Manager and Application Experts on special solutions.
•    Assist the Projects and Repairs Manager to establish project objectives, procedures, data collection methods, and performance standards and training materials within boundaries of corporate policy.
•    Work with customers to specify customization requirements.
•    Develop scope and parameters for project design and build for instrumentation and DAS for multiple industries. 

 

Your qualification and skills
Qualified Candidates will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technical field or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of service engineering/technical support or equivalent is required. Relevant internship and/or co-op positions may be included with other experience.  
In addition, a preferred candidate will have:
•    Knowledge of the application sensor products and amplifiers and associated electronics is preferred. 
•    Knowledge of transducers, associated electronics and software for vehicle dynamic measurement and control systems. 
•    Good troubleshooting and diagnosis skills.
•    Able to manage multiple projects and prioritize work appropriately to meet commitments.
•    Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills while remaining professional at all times.
•    Ability to use hand tools unassisted including but not limited to:   Screwdrivers, Hammers, wrenches.
